Philip Vermeulen

I lead EY’s EMEIA Insurance practice, which provides audit, tax, consulting, and strategy & transactions services for clients across 18 European markets. Our growing insurance practice counts around 200 partners and 4,500 members of staff, delivering across a range of areas, including technical, actuarial expertise, large-scale tech and finance transformation, and risk and regulatory consulting services. I took on this leadership role in July 2023.

I have a strong professional interest in sustainable insurance and stakeholder capitalism. I believe that insurers can and should play a key role in combatting climate change and driving progress towards net zero, accelerating diversity, equity and inclusion, and maintaining a strong focus on progressive governance.
