Michael Steel

Michael has over 23 years’ experience in risk and capital management. As Chief Risk Officer of AXIS Capital, he focuses on determining and implementing the enterprise-wide risk and control framework that supports the achievement of AXIS strategic and financial goals. He joined AXIS Capital in July 2008 following 12 years at Benfield. He is an appointed director of the Casualty Actuarial Society and holds a BSc (Hons) in Statistics and Mathematics from Brunel University.
