John Ryan

John Ryan is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as Chief Underwriting Officer at Allianz Ireland since January 2024 including board responsibility for Sustainability from July 2025. Over the years, John has held various positions including Head of Retail Underwriting and Head of Pricing. John has also gained exposure internationally in Allianz Group in Rome, Munich and Sydney. John Ryan holds a degree from University College Dublin in Actuarial & Financial Studies and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
