Gino Del Sesto

Head of Government Relations, Western and Central Europe, MetLife

Gino Del Sesto is currently Head of Government Relations, Western and Central Europe, MetLife.  He is based in Dublin and is responsible for coordinating regulatory relations and government affairs for MetLife in twelve countries in Europe.

Prior to his current position, Gino was Head of Strategic Initiatives, Western and Central Europe. In this role he led the planning and implementation of MetLife’s European legal re-structuring project.

Gino’s previous MetLife assignments were in London, where he was Director for European Planning and Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff for the MetLife Europe, Middle East and India regional organization, and in New York, where he worked for the International Strategy, Business Architecture and Integration group, the International Program Management Organization, and Enterprise Quality Management Solutions.

Before joining MetLife, Gino worked for the U.S. government, serving on the White House and State Department staffs. At the White House he worked in the Office of Presidential Personnel and at the State Department he was in both the Bureau of International Organization Affairs and the New York Foreign Press Office.

Gino received his BA in International Studies from Colby College, his MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University, and his MBA from Fordham University. He has also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in European Union Law from King’s College London.
