Giampaolo Viseri

Giampaolo Viseri is the Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Global Life, the Irish Allianz Company operating in the life insurance business in Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Iceland and Lithuania.

Since 2010 he has directed most Life operations in Allianz Italy. Previously, from 2008 to 2010, he was CEO of Darta, the Life Insurance Company of Allianz Italy operating from Ireland.

He joined Allianz Italy in 2000 (formerly Ras), where he held various roles, from Head of life retail operation to Chief Life Actuary, also serving as Director and Chairman in several life insurance companies inside the Allianz Italy Group.

Before joining the AZ Group, he was board member of the Norwich Union Companies in Italy, where he was responsible for Life and non-Life Operations (from 1999 to 2000).

From 1993 to 1999 he covered several roles in the Winterthur Group in the Life and Health area. He was the Head of the Personal Lines Unit (Life, Pension funds, Personal Accident, and Health) of the Winterthur Group in Italy.

He started his career in Lloyd Adriatico (Italian Insurance Company), first in the Actuarial Dept. and then in the Investment Dept., just before having completed his degree in Actuarial Sciences (1986).

Giampaolo is a member of AFIR, IAA, as well as of the Italian Institute of Actuaries and of the National Council of Actuaries. He is the author of several publications and papers in the actuarial and in the business area.
