Masters student in Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Limerick
Florian is a Masters student in Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Limerick. He received his BSc in Insurance and Actuarial Science from the University of Cologne for Applied Sciences in 2014. He wrote his Bachelor thesis “a risk-based capital model for industrial companies based on Solvency II” together with MSK, a consultant for primary insurance companies. Before studying, he did an apprenticeship in insurance and was working for an insurance broker in Germany. Florian is also currently working for the University of Cologne for Applied Sciences as a research fellow in the reinsurance sector. He is researching the sensitivity of the overall risk-capital in the Solvency II standard formula due to changes in correlation assumptions.
