Eddy van Cutsem

Eddy is a qualified Chartered Director, a Board member of financial services companies and a consultant on re/insurance business opportunities. He has more than 25 years of experience in senior positions in reinsurance and captive management. Eddy was Managing Director of Royal Bank of Canada’s reinsurance company in Ireland from 2001 till 2014. Its business lines included life, property and trade credit re/insurance.

He was also a Non-Executive Director of RBC Investor Services Ireland Limited, the Irish funds administration company of the Royal Bank of Canada. Previously, Eddy was the CEO of a large Belgian banking and insurance group (now Belfius).He is a founding member of DIMA. Eddy will take the role of MC at EIF2016.
