Andrew is over a decade with the CBI in a variety of supervisory leadership roles covering the reinsurance and specialty insurance sector in Ireland. Recently, Andrew led supervisory teams in the assessment of firms in their preparation for Solvency II implementation this year.
Andrew successfully led the policy development and implementation of the CBI’s reinsurance regulatory framework following the transposition of the Reinsurance Directive into Irish law in 2006 and has represented the CBI in the IAIS on reinsurance matters since 2007.
Andrew has an Honours Maths and Economics degree from Trinity College and his professional qualifications include being an Associate in Reinsurance, an AIR Certified Cat Modeller, and obtaining an IMI diploma in Regulatory Management.
