Ireland wins “Domicile of the Year” at UK Captive Services Awards, Feb 9, 2017

We are delighted to announce Ireland has won Domicile of the Year at the Prestigious UK Captive Services Awards.
The category is open to all captive domiciles housing UK parented captives and the award was presented at a ceremony in London on the 9th of February. Ireland’s success was based on DIMA’s work in representing the captive sector through its Captive Management Committee, its engagement with regulatory and other stakeholders and its work to promote Ireland’s value proposition as a jurisdiction. This is a very welcome endorsement of our sector in what is a competitive environment for international business. It is also timely in providing an additional opportunity for our merged organisation to promote Ireland in our communications and promotional activity.
This award follows our win in the category of best EU domicile at the first European Captive Services Awards in November in Luxembourg. We would like to thank our Captive insurance members for their continuing support which is the foundation for this success. We would also like to thank Una Coleman for leading both submissions which have brought international recognition to the industry’s work in Ireland.
We will continue to work on behalf of our members to realise the sector’s full potential in Ireland.

DIMA wins European Captive Award

In November 2016, at the first European Captive Services Awards, DIMA’s entry won in the category, EU domicile . The judges praised Ireland’s ongoing commitment to the captive insurance industry. The awards celebrated expertise in the continent’s industry across 20 categories.
