Simon Woods

Simon Woods was appointed CEO Savings & Retirement in January 2026. Zurich’s life businesses generate over $2.2bn of annual operating profits, and operate in over 20 countries globally, offering Protection and Savings & Retirement products.

Prior to joining Zurich, Simon was a Supervisory Board member of Viridium Gruppe, chairing the Audit and Risk Committee and acting as Deputy Chair. Before that, Simon was Group CFO at Resolution Life from 2021 – 2024, responsible for Finance, Investments, and M&A / Reinsurance underwriting.

Simon was a Partner at EY in London and Zurich, and before that an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs, UBS and HSBC. Simon is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and has a MA from Oxford University.
