Howard Hughes

Howard moved to Dublin as Head of ESG Origination for Barclays Bank Europe in 2022, leading on sustainable debt and trade financing for Barclays across its European platform. He is an active participant in supporting Barclays ambition to facilitate $1tn of Sustainable & Transition Finance by the end of 2030. Prior to moving to Dublin, he was a director in Barclays Energy & Infrastructure team in London, supporting major infrastructure sponsors focused on the renewable energy sector. He enjoys a 25-year banking career, joining Barclays in 2013 after previous coverage and credit roles in London at Credit Suisse, Fortis and Allied Irish Bank.
